On the mountains 

were the clouds running 

here and there 

were the clouds wandering 

dark but light 

were the clouds gathering 

On the mountains....

Few droplets in my hand 

when touched me 

felt it cool and soothing 

happy were the clouds 

I felt they were smiling

looking at others 

On the mountains ....

I saw some figure 

dancing in the clouds 

I could hear the music

in the air withering 

so romantic was this 

a beautiful sight indeed

All was there I could see 

but the one who was in me 

was not visible anywhere 

though my love haunted 

for his presence there 

no he was not there 

On the mountains ...........

I asked the mountains 

I asked the winds 

to take a message for him 

at a long distance 

may he hear my beats 

and would say into my ears

The dream to be with my love 

on the mountains 

with the breeze so cold 

the sky and dancing clouds 

flowing streams from the hillside down

taking bath with a soothing sound
