BREAKER OF THE CHAINS
Stay, stay with me o' Fearless,
unearthly, resplendent, Formless Friend,
as you did in my dream for what it seemed
like you were with me all night last night.
It is true.
It was intoxicating.
And the night was beautiful,
for it was with you I was all night.
Even in those serene moments when I felt
some microscopic eye-movements,
with awareness of my body, and the sleep was light,
I cared not to open my eyes, not even once,
very afraid ... lest out of my dream I lose your sight.
Knowing that you were still there
somewhere behind these eyelids
was such a sheer delight!
I remember not the cause or the beginning,
but I know when you kept reappearing,
on your own again and again,
imploring me to pick up my pen and write,
the glory of this beautiful night, when
you stayed with me in my dream all night.
I know it was a dream, but the dream was real.
For this was no ordinary dream.. it was of the Real.
Even now I recall seeing you standing tall.
A staff in one hand, your lips calm, but unequivocal,
you looked achronic, achromatic Self.
Compassion, so much compassion I saw in your eyes,
as if compassion was all there was, and you were
reassuring me of what was real, what really mattered in life.
Seeing you thus I felt emotionally strong, like you, as if ...
As if there was not a thought or a reason for worry or strife.
With you I stayed all night last night,
and I knew I was at least and at last,
without a doubt or question, where I belong -
That I belong with this Eternal Bliss,
drowned in its abysmal depth, submerged in it,
dissolved like a cube of sugar, one with IT,
never, ever to feel like a fish out of the water again,
never to be separated from the Real Eternal again.
Breaker of the chains, break my chains, lead me uphill.
Hold my thoughts as if they were standing water still.
Help me unload my weary heart to make it your shrine,
for both in my dream and in my desolate waking state
I yearn to find my true Nature, I cannot any longer wait,
for Bliss is what I was, even when there was no 'was',
Bliss is what I Am, and I need to see this I Am in all,
I Am .. I Am .. I Am the Self, the only Self in one and all.

Dear Friend :
My eyes are teary with humility and gratitude to God as I share with you that
various similar visions come in my dreams. I prefer to not detail them here for
then one loses or dilutes their significance, and also because I want to keep
my ego at the lowest possible level, and detailing them would sound otherwise.
Thank you so much for the respect you have given me with your appreciation
of this divine vision.
