I wait for you , Oh my beloved!
For you asked me to
On this shore in the dark
The breeze too cold.
The layers , the clouds
Frighten me , to be away
But , I wait for you
Till you come to me
Look at these waves
So silent but eager
To meet the shore
They come to touch
And move into the sea
I remain here to see you
To wait for you
As you had promised
You would come
Before my death
Oh my beloved !

these lines remind me of a poem where a boy waited for his father on the ship as his father had asked him to ,but father never turned up. beautiful lines skilfully woven in the verse good wishes dear Kalpana ji
